The Green Carpet Anemone needs to be kept on soft substrate bottom. It makes an excellent host for many types clownfish including Amphiprion ocellaris, A. percula, or Dascyllus trimaculatus. The clownfish provides the carnivorous anemone with "crumbs" of food that make up a large part of its diet. With the mutual behavior with clown fish and vivid coloration, the Green Carpet Anemone makes a beautiful addition to any community fish setup. Since it is aggressive and can sting, the Green Carpet Anemone should be kept at a distance of minimum 20 inch from other coral species in the aquarium environment.
