The Blue Neon Goby, Gobiosoma oceanops, is dark blue with a pale underbelly and a neon blue horizontal stripe along the entire body. This species make great cleaners of larger fish, as they remove dead skin and parasites as they swim past. They are a hardy and very peaceful species, but may become territorial towards other blennies, gobies or dartfish in smaller tanks.
Gobies tend to stay mainly towards the bottom of the tank, burrowing and sifting through the sand. Diet should include a variety of frozen or live mysis shrimp and vitamin enriched brine shrimp 1-2 times daily.
