The Blueberry Gorgonian, Diodogorgia nodulifera, is a fascinatingly beautiful species of gorgonian. It is a red colored branching fan with blueberry colored polyps that will certainly light up your aquarium. The Blueberry Gorgonian is difficult to keep in the home aquarium so it should only be reserved for experienced aquarists. It requires a moderate-strong waterflow to prevent algae growth and allow it to catch food as it is a filter feeder. Finely chopped brine and mysis should be added to the tank occasionally to supplement the Blueberry Gorgonian's food intake. They are best placed towards the bottom of a low-moderate lighted tank. The Blueberry Gorgonian is native to the Pacific Ocean and is reef safe.
