The Grey Tail Angelfish (Chaetodontoplus poliourus) is often mistaken for a Butterfly Fish but is a true angelfish. It has white fading to black body with a nice ombre effect, yellow edges to the fins and yellow speckles along its body, and black vertical stripe running through the eye. They frequently travel in pairs through reefs in search of food. As is true for most in the Chaetodontoplus family, they are known to nip at sponges, tunicates and soft corals, so use caution when housing C. poliourus in a reef aquarium.
