They reach a maximum size of 6 inches and can breed in captivity. They do best if kept in small groups, and should be housed in a tank with at least 30 gallons, typically in a reef or macro-algae aquarium. Live brine shrimp or mysis should be fed 3-4 times a day. Tank mates should consist of other seahorses and peaceful cleanup crew, as fish may provide competition for food.
