The Goniopora is one of the most beautiful LPS coral, and are one of the most prolific contributors to the worlds coral reefs. Goniopora corals need moderate light and water flow, therefore do best in the bottom - mid level of a reef tank. They are semi aggressive and need to be kept away from neighbor corals in the aquarium to avoid their stinging tentacles. You will sometimes see clownfish around these corals, as they are able to host them. The Goniopora has long, elegant polyps that make them a centerpiece in any reef aquarium and they can come in a variety of colors as well. They will generally feeds on zoo plankton and leftover foods helping keep your aquarium clean and clear.
Cool and interesting coral to watch. Looks like flowers coming up out of a pot hence why it's sometimes called the flowerpot. Another good buy!!

WOW. This thing is huge and well worth the money. I cannot believe how adding this single coral has dramatically changed my tank. It is worth knowing that mine was half of a baseball in size when closed and just over a softball size when open. It does cause other corals to close up so you will need to have some space for it
