It is not recommended to keep two males together, and they may be territorial of dens or burrows. Plenty of live rock should be present, as provide shelter and security. These reclusive fish thrive on a carnivorous diet of mysis, krill and amphipods. Reaching a maximum size of 3 inches, they can do well in any aquarium over 10 gallons. They should not be housed with larger, predatory fish, such as Groupers or Lionsfish.
