The Reef Squirrelfish have bright red bodies and horizontal white stripes, these fish are sure to captivate attention. Growing up to 6 inches in size, these Squirrelfish thrive in tanks that are at least 100 gallons in size, and can be kept in smaller groups in large aquariums.
They are generally peaceful, but
caution should be taken in reef tanks as they may eat small
invertebrates. These nocturnal fish require plenty of live rock for
hiding during the day and come out at night to search for small
invertebrates to eat. Feeding them a diet rich in meaty foods like
mysis, brine shrimp, and fresh seafood will keep them healthy and happy
in your aquarium.
