The Scoly Coral (Scolymia australis), also known as Scolymia or "Scolies", is a Long-Polyp Stony coral found among shallow reefs off the coast of Australia and throughout the Pacific Ocean. The Crocodile Red Scoly boasts a stunning deep red color with small hints of blue or green. They should be kept on the sand bed with plenty of room to spread without rubbing against rocks, as this can damage their tissue. Being an LPS, Angels, certain Butterflies, and other possible corallivores should be monitored when kept in the same system as the Scolies as they may be an easy target of predation.
